Remote flash & some updates
Experimenting with remote flash is a lot of fun. I found it to be a great way to experiment with light, without the hassle of constantly rearranging equipment. This shot was taken using my step-mom’s remote unit. I’m sure I’ll have to pick up one of my own at some point.
Updates: I’ve been practically silent for the last month or so. Frankly there’s only so much I can do with my limited equipment before I tend to get bored. But that will change in a week or so, as I’ve finally ordered a muslin backdrop, some lens filters, and a better tripod. I know it’s not the equipment that makes a good photo, but with this new gear I am hoping to start taking some professional portraits.
My girls and I are taking a trip to Venice, California in a few weeks. I will have all of my best shots up here soon after we get back.
